After reading the title I got kind of excited, unfortunately this device is sadly underwhelming especially at the price points listed.
It doesn't seem like it would really be all that useful for gaming, it's fairly small for doing any kind of actual work on, but big and bulky enough that the portability of it would be questionable.
I have to say, i'm not really sure what purpose this device is supposed to serve. For gaming, there's plenty of handheld options at far better prices and for general computing, there are cheaper more powerful setups in a smaller form factor.
- clankyclanker 6y agoThe page explains it pretty well: > So while you’ll probably get better gaming performance from a OneGx1 Pro or GPD Win Max, the Pyra may still be a better option for folks who value hacker-friendly hardware with an emphasis on privacy and software freedom. If you’re willing to pay the premium for fully open hardware and privacy, then it’s worth it.
