Google open source free chip project submissions set to go live on November 15th
- bsder 6y agoAnd, again, Magic and no useful DRC/LVS/Extraction. Look, until somebody gets off their butt and designs a tool that does actual "VLSI Layout with DRC/LVS/Extraction" this stuff goes nowhere. We have been able to outsource ASIC stuff for not unreasonable amounts of money for a while now. We have plenty of open source tooling for all other phases. What we NEED is the open source replacement for Calibre.
- quyleanh 6y agoIt will be better if we have open source solution which combines both design and physical verification. However, I think this day will be long, very long.
