I believe this is the original whitepaper from 2007. "Adding Generic Process Containers to the Linux Kernel" https://www.kernel.org/doc/ols/2007/ols2007v2-pages-45-58.pdf https://www.kernel.org/doc/ols/2007/ols2007v2-pages-45-58.pd... Although the paper was written by Paul B. Menage it looks like Balbir Singh and Srivatsa Vaddagiri from IBM also made contributions to it.
