One time, I bought a brand new HP ink jet for $29, I think at Walmart. When the ink ran out, and I saw the price of a new cartridge, I quite calmly pulled and saved the line cord and USB cable, and any paper inside. Then I picked it up, walked down the hall in my highrise to the trash closet, and threw the whole thing down the chute.
- bserge 6y agoPrice of a low end All-in-one HP printer: £40. Price of a new set of cartridges for it: £50... The printer came with full cartridges, not the "test cartridge" shit Canon does... It was cheaper to buy a new printer :/
- paxys 6y agoNext time do proper electronics recycling though. All modern electronics have rare earth and other materials that should not go in the trash.
- slezyr 6y agoNext time just search for the 3rd party refillable cartridges on aliexpress.
