Have you taken a look at Evil-Escape[0]? I've bound the keys to "fd", because that feels natural, but it's trivial to do "jk". This package works on much more than just insert/normal mode switching as well. [0] https://github.com/syl20bnr/evil-escape https://github.com/syl20bnr/evil-escape
