If you've spent any amount of time in China, you realize that the people of china are complicit but not responsible for the rise of the CCP, because china doesn't hold elections - it is not a democracy. Unfortunately, given the government mandated involvement in business and finance operations above that of a small gas station, doing business with china generally means in some way doing business with the CCP.
I still have friends from china and friends here in the US who I went to college with. I fear for their ability to speak freely and have a place in our modern world without being hampered by the heinous actions of a racist and sociopathic regime.
