Serious question for everyone out there that views an individual's ability to say whatever they want on social media as a fundamentally important right: what happens if a lie spreads so virulently online that a large enough contingent of the population decides to stop supporting democracy because the lie has them convinced that democracy isn't worth supporting anymore?
