FYI - the Democrats raised far more and outspent Republicans in many key races.
> Democrats poured literally hundreds of millions of dollars into races against Lindsey Graham in South Carolina and in Kentucky against Mr. McConnell that they lost by double-digits. Democrats seem to believe their own progressive pieties that money is destiny in politics. https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-pelosi-schumer-defeat-11604533926?mod=opinion_lead_pos3 https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-pelosi-schumer-defeat-1160453...
Clearly money is not the only thing that matters in politics, and voters aren't so stupid that they believe everything they are told, no matter how much is spent. Right to Repair in Massachusetts passed by a landslide despite shrill corporate pandering that blanketed the airwaves.
Citizens United was a good decision because it allowed everyone - me, you, corporations, unions - to spend as much money as they wanted to advertise their message. But all the money in the world can't fix a shit message.
