I think you can either: * make predictions with a range * or make predictions with a certainty coefficient (p value, etc.) Predicting a single value without either is not a truly quantified "prediction." It's weird now not getting that can lead to confusion. I agree with others in that those who don't communicate both values of information aren't being 100% clear.
