Did you seriously mention CORBA as a API interface method in 2020? As a corporate contractor who had to use CORBA back in the iInterface days of Win95, just the mention of it spins me into a semi-PTSD fit. Please...REST is a solid, simple, and powerful transport method and let's maybe do without CORBA moving forward.
