I would recommend just taking a leap of faith and trying it out for a few days (with oh-my-zsh, of course). If you're used to bash, you'll probably find zsh very comfortable to use. It's super easy to install if you're on a Mac and have homebrew installed (just do `brew install zsh`), and oh-my-zsh has an uninstall command that will switch you back to bash if you don't like it.
