What is this Gemini thing, and why am I excited about it? (2020)
- makeworld 6y agoIt's great to see Drew getting into Gemini and contributing to the space, as well as promoting it. He has a larger audience then most of the other people using it, so perhaps more people will find out about it. One of the reasons why I enjoy Gemini is because it lends itself so well to efficient terminal browsing, which the Web never will. It feels fast and simple when I browse in the terminal. I created a terminal browser that's to my liking, and although I have lots of GUI browsers installed, I mostly just use mine, Amfora. https://github.com/makeworld-the-better-one/amfora https://github.com/makeworld-the-better-one/amfora You might also be interested in Bombadillo, which I used before I wrote my own. https://bombadillo.colorfield.space/ https://bombadillo.colorfield.space/
