Because the assumption that software on floppy disks back then was entirely comprised of files in a normal FAT filesystem is wrong.
- skissane 6y agoAlso occasionally the original floppies contain interesting information in the unallocated space of the FAT filesystem – remnants of deleted files left over from the development process.
