This is shameful. I thought Indian American community had moved on from things like these. I suppose there will always be some people who do these kind of things. These things are rampant in India at the time of marriages. Some parents in India emotionally blackmail their children into marrying into their own caste. Sometimes people have to marry into their own subcast. (I am talking about people being forced to marry against their will and give up on love)
