Yup, I read that. I'm sure that's just a journalist that can't tell the difference between a company receiving money from the government and a company not having to PAY the government.
Why am I sure? Because journalist are dumb and get that point wrong ALL the time. Just like revenue and profit. They just don't know the difference.
- ggoo 6y agoI think you might reconsider your opinion on this one, both of those have roughly the same net effect.
- IanDrake 6y agoOnly if you don't consider the context. The local government lost nothing. If Amazon didn't get the tax breaks, they wouldn't be there and the local government would be poorer for it.
