- infinite8s 15y agoExcept there's evidence that the soluble fiber in fruit helps moderate the fructose absorption in your gut (this is completely separate from the GI index, which is about how it affects your blood sugar levels). Unfortunately a lot of studies only look at macronutrients in isolation and ignore the (for example, vitamin C help calcium absorption).
