Presumably they now have a new business necessary project with a maximum 2 month delivery timeline, over the holiday season. It seems completely reasonable that an IT decision maker needs to keep the printers running? A sudden, new project during the holiday season would definitely impact my family time at least. Edit: Apparently they announced this last year, so that seems to make the current situation acute by choice or lack of knowledge.
