embedded / iot / automotive, this currently stands on c ecosystem due to suppliers and billions of lines of legacy code the failure of rust was it tried to start from scratch where better solution would be to seamlessly integrate into c, maybe if gcc has support for compiling rust the future switchover on embedded would be easier
