Again, I'm not trying to speak to _your_ situation -- for some people they're ineffective and laden with side-effects -- but there's a lot of scare-mongering for a treatment that works absolute wonders for a lot of people. I'd encourage people with anxiety to absolutely try them before deciding they're not for them.
