Are commit sha1/256 values preserved when using git format-patch -> send-email -> am? If not, then that would be a problem for signed commits or tags I think.

- fennecfoxen 6y agoIf you're sending trees with history, I think you're looking for commands like `git fast-export` and not mere patches.
