I transitioned and faced tech’s bias against women
- austincheney 6y agoWhile I have no doubt misogyny may very well be a theme in a male dominated industry it’s challenging to determine any actual misogyny apart from the author’s own extensive identity crisis. Additionally the author describes the given industry as tech but I suspect they are talking more about a specific geographic subculture. I have worked as a corporate developer for a while and women are generally treated fairly equally occupying all levels of leadership and the full spectrum of competence and expertise. Half the corporate leadership at my current super-sized employer is female and any exclusionary behavior at work could end you.
