Why hasn't the community tried a GitLab (or equivalent) over Tor? This ought to enable both collaboration with social features as well as anonymity from outside entities.
- LockAndLol 6y agoThat exists already https://i2pgit.org/ https://i2pgit.org/ I guess most people don't use it yet. The problem with Gitlab is also that it doesn't federate. All the project metadata stays on Gitlab. One can import from Github, but then you're stuck on Gitlab. Maybe tools like fossil[0] or git-bug[1] will pick up steam, but I have a feeling the current events will simply pass and next week we'll be talking about something different. In the meantime, some people will switch or consider alternatives and everytime this happens again, the number of those people will grow. Progress is slow.
