Being realistic, I believe they will hamstring their desktop APUs to stay at an entry-level performance-wise, firstly because APUs are generally bought by the budget-conscious, and secondly because why cannibalize their own product line by not selling a separate CPU and GPU to the discerning gamer? Laptops are a different story. I started thinking this way after seeing basically no improvement from the 2200G and 2400G to the 3400G.
