Just a stray thought from someone who knows little about vitamin D, but is there any way that vitamin D could be used up by cells with replicating viruses, and that's why the levels are low in patients?
- KerryJones 6y agoIt's been shown in other studies that COVID-19 does not _cause_ Vitamin D deficiency, if that's what you're implying.
- rossdavidh 6y agoThat sounds really interesting! Do you happen to have a link to that? I'm not "challenging", I would just be interested in reading that, if you happen to remember where you saw it.
- electrondood 6y agoNo, it's the deficiency of vitamin D that makes a runaway immune response possible, which is what typically kills people with COVID.
