I don't think it's that clear that that would be the outcome. If Apple was allowed to get payed by Bing, because they are not the market leader, I think some people would switch back to Google but many people would just keep Bing. Also Apple could build its own search engine (using either google or bing as an api) or they could say buy DDG.
