Who cares how many are due to coronavirus? Why isn't 54M a bit deal?
- Frost1x 6y agoand a 17 million increase from 37 million to 54 million is a ~46% increase due to COVID, which I would say is also significant. Having 16% of the population in a situation of food insecurity is also quite high IMHO. Why in such a relatively successful economy are people lacking such an essential resource: food? To me, it again highlights some of the deficiencies in our economic and political systems.
- senectus1 6y ago54 M people going hungry, their children going hungry, this is a powder keg for desperate people. desperate people doing desperate things and a police force that seems to relish putting a boot on the neck of desperate people. The US in state at the moment. I doubt that neither biden nor trump is enough.
