I think the thesis of the article is that the more 'hardcore' are into eccentric stuff not because they inherently like eccentric stuff, but that they like being hardcore people who are into eccentric stuff.
- nandemo 16y agoThat doesn't seem to be thesis of the article, since they don't mention anything about the wine tasting experience of the subjects. I really doubt that doing similar experiments with wine experts would give the same results.
