Babbage the unfortunate (2004)
- toyg 6y agoAnybody interested in Babbage could find much amusement in "The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage" [1] by Sydney Padua, a webcomic that spawned a book. It refers to a lot of incredible-but-actually-true material, duly footnoted. [1] http://sydneypadua.com/2dgoggles/ http://sydneypadua.com/2dgoggles/
- rottc0dd 6y agoI have not read any extensive studies of his work, but I have section regarding him in "The Information: A History, A Theory, A Flood" [0], super cool. It is also a nice book overall IMHO. [0] https://www.amazon.com/Information-History-Theory-Flood/dp/1400096235 https://www.amazon.com/Information-History-Theory-Flood/dp/1...
- cafard 6y agoDover Books printed a selection of Babbage's writings. You can also find three of his works at the Gutenberg project.
