I have said this many times. Do not use anything other than uBlock Origin. Do not trust forks, similarly named extensions (ublock, ublock plus, etc). uBlock Origin has a lower chance of stealing info because the developer is trustworthy. And almost everyone on HN uses it, and you will know very fast it something it does something wrong. https://ublockorigin.com// https://ublockorigin.com//

If using safari, any extension that utilizes the content blocker API is safe — they all merely provide a blocklist to safari and have no access to page contents themselves.

  You also loose out on more powerful adblocking features that cannot be implemented with content blocker API
