Chinese 5G Not Living Up to Its Hype
- typescriptfan1 6y agoIt's funny to hear people, typically those with some stock involved, talk about how revolutionary 5G will be. Poor range and interference almost negate the benefits of increased speed. I can't think of any app, etc. that is is currently inhibited due to the lack of 5G. Can anyone name something that 5G actually makes possible (other than giving companies like AT&T an opportunity for a marketing gimmick)?
- macawfish 6y ago5G's hype has always been a cover for its real applications: data collection, tracking and surveillance. - xster 6y agoWouldn't it have been entirely against Voice of America's mission and purpose of funding if it said something positive for China? https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/10/white-house-attacks-voice-of-america-daily-newsletter-179191 https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/10/white-house-attacks... I mean this whole episode is farcical but if I was a buyer (which I am as a taxpayer), I'd want what I paid for as well.
