- jandrese 6y agoIf there is an accident you'll have a giant wind spill to clean up. But more seriously large chunks of spinning metal can turn into deadly flying knives when things break. With a properly engineered windmill this is extremely rare and usually requires a severe amount of neglect. With some DIY project built from scraps you probably shouldn't mount it anywhere near people.
