Looking at that issue, seems perfectly fine to raise it to me. That's exactly the kind of input I would expect from a member of the working group, and it just increases the quality of the end product. Let's face it, Metal is nicer than Vulkan. And I bet there are more Metal programmers out there by now than there are Vulkan programmers.
