I want my OS updates to be exciting, but not too exciting - I have been running the 20.10 beta for a week or so on a spare laptop, not a lot of surprises, but the Gnome upgrade is an improvement. In the Breezy/Hardy days I wouldn't have dared to upgrade for weeks or months after a new version was released (basically how I treat macOS these days...), but I have had good luck with Ubuntu upgrades in the last few years, so I feel like they have made progress.

- lathiat 6y agoI suspect that's a bit of an over-assertion as it's mostly working fine for me on two different Intel machines. Would be great to link to a bug or some more info and it's something that could very likely be backported if it's fixed in 20.10.
