This just launched, but I imagine I'm soon to be rich in other people's screams. https://justscream.baby https://justscream.baby

Brilliant! I hope it does make you rich. It certainly made me laugh.

Thanks! My goal right now is just to keep it humming along and polish it off

Have you watched Letterkenny by any chance?
- cardamomo 6y ago
No, I haven't. What's the connection to JUST SCREAM?
  - hinkley 6y ago
They have a lower-brow version of JUST SCREAM as the story arc for an episode. They make a website where people record farts, and then rate them.

I love it! This is great!

I love the idea of providing a platform to share rage/frustration or whatever in such a raw mode, without the destructive/negative comments. Just pure emotions.
- cardamomo 6y ago
My partner reminded me that people scream when feeling positive emotions too!
conscion 6y ago
Are you collecting data for a scream-detection service?
- cardamomo 6y ago
Haha, I wonder what the market would be for that!
  - brianobush 6y ago
Yes, there is. My company does sound id among other things. https://www.sensory.com/sound-identification-scene-analysis/ https://www.sensory.com/sound-identification-scene-analysis/

Nice! In that case, I may want to pick your brain about automatic transcription of scream sounds...

when I called 561-567-8431, I got "Welcome to Verizon Wireless, your call can not be completed as dialed. Please hang up and try again."
- cardamomo 6y ago
Thanks for letting me know. It should be fixed now. I accidentally bungled something in Twilio
- GurnBlandston 6y ago
That's just inspiration for more screaming.

Did you think what's going to happen when somebody screams something highly offensive and some users go to court over it? Don't get me wrong I like the idea, however the world at large is full of people waiting to ruin the nice things.
- cardamomo 6y ago
For now, it's not updated automatically, so I can prevent this sort of thing from happening. Eventually, I hope it will be more automatic, but I'll still mark all screams that can be transcribed for human review before posting. (This also serves as a spam filter.)
