Many cyclists are their own-worst-enemies (excess speed, weaving in/out traffic) and I suspect it will be a very, very long time before AI is going to be able handle them.
- justinclift 6y agoYeah, similar suspicion.
- bconnorwhite 6y agoWould be surprised if autopilot isn't already superior to humans at avoiding cyclists. This seems like mostly an attention problem, and humans are more susceptible to not noticing the cyclist in their blind spot going into a right turn.
