While an interesting project, I think something like Keycloak is far more effective and feature-rich. What benefits does this have over Keycloak?
- omniglottal 6y agoAt first glance, I see Authelia is written in go instead of Java. Keycloak is an enormous hog of resources, considering what it does... it's safe to assume this is not just easier to deploy and operate in a cluster, but also quite likely less expensive too.
- pharaohgeek 6y agoFair point. The Keycloak folks are working on porting the project over to the Quarkus framework which will allow for ahead-of-time compilation and a DRASTIC decrease in resource utilization. In my own experience porting apps over to Quarkus the result is shocking. Near-instant startup. Memory usage no worse than any other native app.
