Nice! A private company gets to decide how and when we can spend our money. Thanks PayPal.
In all seriousness this kind of thing should be decided upon with public debate and discourse, where pseudo banks and payment processors are compelled to accept crypto currencies if the law and the people deem them as legal tender.
- pjc50 6y ago> deem them as legal tender. That's .. not going to happen, unless one of the "central bank cryptocurrencies" goes live.

Isn't that exactly how it works right now? The "public" don't get to decide directly because that's what governments are for, but if a currency becomes lagal tender, people do have to accept it. > A private company gets to decide how and when we can spend our money. No more so than before. Now you can also spend crypto when buying through PayPal. You can still spend crypto elsewhere and you can spend fiat with PayPal and elsewhere.
