I quit Gmail because "Google Evil",
but came back because I struggled to find a client as good as Gmail's basic HTML one.
Does anyone know of a mail service with one as good?
It could be something paid or a generic webmail client too.
- input_sh 6y agoI find Fastmail's web interface to be much better that Gmail. Faster, easier to navigate, more intuitive, less clutter, and can be set up to not open images by default (if you don't want the sender to know whether or not you've opened their email). I use it for a few years now, and I have zero complaints.
- bofenbref 6y agoBetter than the simple HTML Gmail? That sounds like it could make me switch.

- Shared404 6y agoI like ProtonMail's fine, but I think Google's is slightly better. That being said, there is no way I'm going back to gmail.
- moduspol 6y agoSame. I was worried that the lack of Gmail's search (which is fantastic) would bother me, but so far it hasn't. ProtonMail still searches message metadata just fine and that seems to have been enough for me so far.
