Ask HN: Is Medium ok while I ponder if a personal blog is worth it?
Starting a personal website is not a great effort, but from a tactical point of view I'd rather see if it's worth it before having it collecting dust 6 months from now.
Knowing well all Medium downsides, would it still be worth it while figuring it out?
Alternatives?
- nikivi 6y agoYeah it is fine. dev.to is another nice option. Has more vibrant community.
- sushshshsh 6y agoSure it's fine, but if you want to have some fun with it, you can set up an FTP server and find ways to promote it to a more targeted niche :)
