The continuous amnesia issue in IT
- oregontechninja 6y agoThis comes off as "everybody is an idiot except me" which is always a tempting view. I believe we re-discuss things as a community so often because the world changes so quickly and we have a constant influx of personnel. Noobies will always need to rehash the lessons of the past.
- jmnicolas 6y agoI think the author misses 2 things : 1) a lot of people in IT don't have a solid background in computer science but are self taught so they don't have solid foundations to separate wheat from chaff. 2) there isn't enough time nor brain bandwidth to absorb and understand everything. For example the amount of things to learn just for front end dev is absolutely ridiculous and this is just a small part of IT.
