Recently I've been doing a lot of work with Blender for my side project (https://lulimjewelry.com https://lulimjewelry.com - custom 3d printed jewelry), and it has excellent python support. I understand that Blended is also seeing more use in real professional studios, and its cool that python is such a big part of it. I see Blender as one of the best examples of an open source project succeeding.
