All the references to rowing reminded me of these guys: http://www.rowrenegade.org/ http://www.rowrenegade.org/ . I used to go out regularly for their recreational rows (http://www.rowrenegade.org/rec_rows.html http://www.rowrenegade.org/rec_rows.html) on the weekend and would recommend it to anyone who happens to live in the SFBay area, or is just visiting, as a fun and interesting experience and a cheap way to get out on the bay.
