Based on what you said, seems like tilling is more for harvesting than for growing.
- kjs3 6y agoDepends on the soil. Down where I live, heavy clay soils benefit from tilling to break it up the so water can penetrate and plants can develop a decent root system. If you were aiming for 'no-till' I suppose you'd look to do this once or a small number of times by blending in a ton of soil amendments.
