It's using https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/SpeechSynthesisUtterance https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/SpeechSynth... which probably isn't affected by the "mute toggle" for accessibility reason.
- skykooler 6y agoHuh, I was wondering how they fit a speech synthesizer into less than 1kb. It being a builtin makes much more sense.
