Haven't heard this podcast in particular, but I highly recommend the In Our Time podcast. The host is a crotchety old guy, but his directness bordering on rudeness keeps things moving along as he discusses the topic of the week with his professor guests. The range of subjects discussed is truly amazing -- from Prester John to slime.
