There was also a major push, more than usual, to get people to get the flu vaccination. People who didn't normally get it got it this year. Edit: I am not sure why I am being downvoted. I am a kiwi, flu vaccinations were very strongly encouraged this year.

This - and the government bought more doses than usual. It was a well run flu season.
