Switch jobs every 6 months to 2 years, and some people will label you a job hopper. Last more than that, and some people will think you are too comfortable for your own good. I think you are better off accepting you can't make everyone happy and that, no matter what you do, someone won't like you for some random reason. Just trust your gut as long as you are making a decent living.
