Ask HN: HN Dark Mode?
I was just now thinking how cool it would be if HN had a dark mode? Browsing hacker news on a 34 inch wide monitor right now. Everything else on my desktop is in dark mode, so my eyes took quite a hit :) I'm guessing for reading, black on white is proven to be more effective, but it seems my eyes are very sensitive to pure white backgrounds now.
- LinuxBender 6y agoTake a look at Dark Reader [1] Note: It can break some sites. [1] - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/darkreader/?utm_source=addons.mozilla.org&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=search https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/darkreader/?u...

- mtmail 6y agoThe feature request comes up regularly. In https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23197966 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23197966 the admins are not opposed, though right now browser extensions are the best work-around.
