So, will a solution be implemented for future possible scenarios like this, or will we have to pray no collision happens?
- Filligree 6y agoOh, the latter. Cleanup would be expensive.
- colechristensen 6y agoThere are efforts going on thinking about capturing and deorbiting space junk, but if you don’t have propulsion to change your satellite’s orbit, there’s nothing to be done.
- sp332 6y agoNew satellites generally have plans for de-orbit or moving to a "graveyard orbit" in place before they go up.
