Another tool that seems quite heavily focused around making the simplest possible cases look snappy and simple. The simple cases aren't the problem. And when it comes to the complex cases, I have much more faith in the extensibility and power of Nix, which is designed as an actual real programming language to give users the power to solve problems the designers had never envisioned for themselves, than HCL, which seems to be arbitrarily restricted and half-thought-out at the best of times.
